Some little tidbits of info.

Since this is from the Eagles, it is a bit of propaganda that they want fans to be aware of . The following passage stands out.

1) They won’t have a lot of wiggle room within the 2018 salary, ... Howie Roseman last year around this time labeled the Eagles’ situation as “tighter than usual,” and then the Eagles went out and were as creative as anyone could imagine with personnel acquisition. This year, they are in a much more confined squeeze, according to Spotrac.com, which projects the Eagles to be over the cap at this time. So, the Eagles are going to have some tough decisions on current salaries on the roster.

"Confined squeeze" is a rather strong term. I'd say the Eagles are trying to dampen expectations for the off season.

Part of the creativity last off season involved kicking the can down the road. Those back end cap hits will limit the team in the future.

Another part of the creativity was short term, even 1 year contracts. Since the Eagles are currently over the cap, and probably need to resign at least Bradham, not everyone will be back.

LOL about any cap. I remember saying it was a myth from the beginning when DeBartolo (or the mob) was buying Championships for Frisco and owners supposedly couldn't figure out how they did it (yeah right). I guess that Luri finally figured out a few years ago that making $2 billion on an investment was enough to open the floodgates too and fortunately Howie loves to spend it. Too bad it took them so long and wasted the McNabb years. Superbowl Champions, still can't get over it

It seems to me that Roseman, et al were singing a similar tune last year. This time of year especially is when you can't believe what anyone tells us, especially Spads.
