Full Version: Consider how this team has dealt with adversity

There has been a fair amount of adverse situations they had to face all season long, but the last three weeks seem the most pertinent for the immediate future. First instance to look at is the most devastating, Wentz's ACL. Right after it happened he throws a TD to give us the lead, but the Rams come back and take a 4 point lead. For Foles to come in cold off the bench and manage to get us just enough to win it in the quarter he played is no small feat, even with all the other talent around him. Then we sleep walk through the first half of the Gnats game, but mount a huge comeback and get another win. Finally look at last Monday, as painful as it was, the O played like dogshit, but the D gave us a 2nd half of total domination, the Raiders ' final 9 drives totaled 45 yards and 5 takeaways, which gave us just enough oomph to win it with our rookie kicker. Three adverse situations, three wins, no matter how it got that way.

I'm not saying they can go all the way, it will be far harder without Wentz, but this is Philly! IT IS NEVER FUCKING EASY FOR US! But this team seems to find a way to get through the adversity, Hell, they have not lost a game since Wentz went down. The only two losses came in hostile environments, where crowd noise clearly played a part in play calling, or the inability to adjust because of the noise. That will not be a factor against us going forward, but a playoff crowd in Philly should be loud enough to disrupt whoever comes in here. Right now I give them a fifty-fifty shot at winning it all, but they will need to have all three phases working, if even one craps out, it will end sooner rather than later.

Good post BW.

We do have heart and homefield.
