feels pretty hollow, true Pyrrhic Victory if it is true.

Might win a postseason game or two with Foles, but odds are bad for winning it all.
The rest of the team, and especially Foles, would have to truly step it up big time.

Thats it.

I hope everyone is happy with all these scrambles and non-slides he did throughout the season. They are probably some of the worst risk/reward decisions of the season.

Can't confirm until MRI is done, but it don't look good

We've lost everyone else this season, why not Wentz too, am I right?
Pbfan
You notice how whenever Brady is scrambling, or is about to get sacked, his body simply goes limp? He takes the sack, or he doesn't get the first down, and then they deal with that undesirable field position in their next play.

That's who we need to Wentz to be, it's about working smart, not working hard. I couldn't have given a shit if he slid at the 2 instead of going for the TD there. Even if it cost the Eagles the game, it's not worth it.

What's the over/under on how long we have until people start demanding we sign Kaepernick?

Edit* - Nevermind, some dipshit already suggested it in the comments of the article PBfan posted.

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh.
I wanted to see Wentz totally take a diarrhea-fied crap on the Cheatriots and avenge the cheating of 2004.

Nick effin' Foles.
worst 11-1 season ever

The Nick Foles that just played a big part in getting the win. He's not Wentz but is also not a spud & unlikely it is that the team will get to the Superbowl with Foles, he can play a good game & has a very good team around him.

I feel sick about Wentz but the season is still alive, have a little hope.

First of all, you do realize this is a totally freak accident right? Second of all, you also realize his ability (and willingness) to scramble is part of what makes him special right?

This injury had nothing to do with his scrambling. He made a good decision running that ball in at the time. Sadly, it got him hurt AND the play didn't count.

If he becomes Goff (i.e. a pocket passer), he'll be concussed within the first half of any game he starts like that.

worst news all but confirmed - Wentz out 9-12 months, fuck this league.

https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/football/...n-acl-imminent/

Wentz will undergo surgery on the torn ACL in his left knee in "a couple of days," Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports.

Monday dawned with confirmation of Wentz's diagnosis, ending his second season in one fell swoop. While the injury is contained to his ACL, per Mortensen, he also confirmed with Dr. James Andrews that expectations for a speedy recovery "should be tempered." Consequently, Wentz's likely 9-to-12 month recovery timetable is the one to keep in mind, which would sideline the quarterback until the start of training camp, at the earliest, and potentially well into the 2018 season. For the remainder of this campaign, Nick Foles will direct the Eagles offense, with Nate Sudfeld handling backup duty.

9-12 months?.

What the fuck is that?

Was I the only one who never dreamed he wouldn't be ready for camp?

And the hits just keep on coming.

Thank you sir, may I have another?

Yes.

These things are serious, I believe it takes 6 months just to return to normal joint function. If all that happens is he comes back as the same player next December, we should consider ourselves pretty lucky.

It sounds odd. For those of you who have not had experience with an ACL tear see the link below.

I am wondering if there was something else they are not mentioning.

Your source does mention 9 months, but not 12!

I would think an athlete whose main job is to rehab, we'd be closer to 6-7, not 9-12! mad.gif
Rick
Read that he may come back sooner than normal because of the way he injured it. His leg was straight--not bent--so there was less damage. They feel he may be back in time for training camp. We will see...

"Fun fact: Carson Wentz has thrown more touchdown passes (1) than Dak has (0) since Wentz suffered an ACL injury.
