Full Version: Wentz never got rattled

I have seen even great QBs get rattled by excessive pressure in their face, but our QB started out shaky and got stronger as the game went on. Cam, on the other hand, enjoyed early protection, but once we started to get in his face he became erratic. I keep thinking about the 3rd and 16 in the fourth, where Wentz hit Hollins for a 20 yard gain for a first with a blitzer wrapped around his ankles, that was a superstar play. It also caused the Panthers D to sag and opened up the long pass to Jeffrey and then the TD to Algholor. That drive pretty much iced the game, it broke the momentum the Panther's had and swung it back to us. Even though the O could not run out the clock this week, it was awesome to see the way the D finished off the game.

Wentz has taken a beating and has proven to hold poise in the pocket. What bothered me was after this sack Thomas Davis continued to bend and twist wentz's arm while he was down. I don't think Carson's body will survive another 5 years with the current level of punishment he's taking.

Wentz seems like a sure fire franchise QB, with the intangibles that go with it. It's a very exciting time to be a Philly fan.

Yup, I'm all in on Wentz. Just ordered a Wentz jersey...

He is very impressive

He also seems to remain level-headed amidst it all.

I'm very interested to see if they come out fighting on Monday night. You know the Skins will. They will be fighting for playoff relevance. After watching the 4th quarter of the Skins' game in KC I would not at all be surprised if they beat the Eagles.

If Norman is out for that game, and from what I heard that is likely, Wentz could have a big night. While Thursday may have been a statement game, MNF is the chance to show it is not a fluke, I kind of see them stepping up big time given it is a divisional game at home.

I hope you are right. If they come out prepared and emotionally ready, it bodes well for the future. It will suggest to me that their team leadership and character will have them ready for big games down the road and able to avoid let-downs after big Ws.

Well, you know, been an Eagles' fan for almost 50 years now. I've seen QBs come and go. I wanted to make sure...

Tell me about it! And, before I thought about it, I turned my sons into Eagles' fans. What was I thinking????

Same lament. My poor kids. What did I do to them? They were all born in CT. They could have enjoyed multiple Super Bowl championships by the time they were 20.

Ouch! That's a tough one...

Wentz surely made a lot of converts on Thursday. For example, in this clip on Mike n Mike they have Wentz well in the Top 10 of QBs in the league and probably the #1 most desirable QB if you were building for the next ten years. Steve Young was also interviewed raving over CW.
