seems confirmed

He actually is a very nice player:

A PF, not really a C

Over the last two years:

Averages 6.9 ppg, 11.5 per 36 min
Averages 5.5 rpg, 9.0 per 36 min
Started 153 out of 159 games for a good playoff team
Averaged 21 min per game
Only a 62% ft shooter
No 3pt game to speak of.

He measures up exceptionally well in the advanced stats:

He is 28th among active players in career WS/ 48 min at .144. He had .155 WS/48 min the last two years, so he's still doing well.

His stats averages for the last last two years would rank him:

45th in WS/48 in this year's stats
44th in BPM
49 th in VORP

Those are very impressive. There are only 24 all-stars selected. As top 48, he's the next level team of all-star. He's an excellent defensive player. He and BC had a previous working relationship.

A real good find!

Sixers Cap Room Update After Signings

Total Cap Limit - 99.1M

Less:
Active Contracts (13) - 73.9M
Dead Money (2) - 1.5M
Fultz (not signed yet) - 7.0M
Poythruss (sp) - 1.5M
Korkmaz - 1.5M
Latvian Center - 1.5

Available Cap = 12.2M
Needed to reach cap floor = 2.2M

So the 34M spent on two guys got us close to the cap floor with no shenanigans.

A new contract for Covington, for reasonable money, should get us over the floor.
