Whether or not he did it remains to be seen. But, he DID put himself in a position to be accused (rightly or wrongly) 3 weeks before the biggest day of his life. So at the very least, he's guilty of being a dumbass.

Oi, Oi. That's gonna hurt him, even if it proves to be untrue.

It's hard to know who to feel less sorry for - the stupid whore who thought it would be a good idea to ditch her friends and go to his room after meeting him in an elevator at 3am, or the dumbass motherfucker who's propositioning strangers for orgies less than a month before becoming a 21-year old multi-millionaire.

I have no sympathy for either one, regardless of the facts of the case. He just cost himself well over $10 million. And if I were Marshon Lattimore, I'd stop tweeting about 'predatory females' as well until I got my signing bonus.

Insanity.

Well said! : (

Trading down a few spots might be the best plan now.

What 21-year-old drunk at 3am doesn't go around propositioning skirt for an orgy?

I've done that sober.

How many actually accepted my propositions is entirely besides the point.

What this case does demonstrate is that there is a profound lacks of several things....
1. common sense by the athlete
2. proper guidance by agents
3. any guidance or advice by family that is worth a damn
4. foundational ethics provided by his football program

It always makes me wonder....do any of these idiots read a newspaper, watch TV or see the internet? How these incidents can reoccur is amazing. To put yourself in a situation that can be used against you or to actually commit something so wrong is beyond stupid. He may well be a victim of a scam artist but at the end of the day he was somehwere he should have known better to be in at a time when every projected top pick should be walking on eggshells with all the dollars involved.

So the question now is, do you draft someone accused of rape, and if so when? If he's tried and found guilty he goes to prison. How long will it take for an NFL security department to investigate and get a solid handle on what happened and how a case will take to play out? Can he sit out this draft and re enter in a year?

Bwah!

If someone has a zero percent chance of acceptance, then mathematically speaking is it a proposition at all?

Agree 100%.

One only need to look last year to Tunsel's situation.

Apparently the Eagles have asked for more details on what happened, which would imply that they are still considering him. Part of this will be based on their background research into his character, which I assume must have been reasonable because if there were unofficial question marks prior to this then it would be a red flag.

It's also interesting that we haven't been reported as meeting Conley, despite the fact that he is a CB expected to be drafted around where we pick. That could be because background checks have raised issues, or it could be deliberately avoiding him to feign disinterest.

The ideal scenario for the Eagles is that Conley drops to #43 where we take him and he is proven innocent. That has to be weighed against the fact that drafting an alleged rapist when the facts have still to be established is high risk, regardless of his talent level.

Apparently, he could be brought up on charges for a class I felony, which would carry a MINIMUM sentence of 3 yrs if convicted.

To date, the "victim" is refusing to cooperate with police in their investigation. Obviously speculating here, but that strikes me as the act of a false accuser.

Best case, he falls off most team's boards and he can be drafted day 3, or signed as UDFA.

I agree completely...very odd behavior for a "victim". If it is proven that she lied I wonder if he can sue her for lost wages?

He says there's witnesses and videos that prove he's innocent.

I'm no atorney, but I'd think he'd have grounds based on numerous libel laws. He stands to lose $10s of millions at a minimum. But as a practical matter, what are the odds she's got the sort of net worth or earning power for him to ever be able to recoup much of that?

Somebody needs to get to these kids and constantly scream at them to just lay low for the summer. Stay out of the clubs. Lay off the hooch, and the weed. No parties. It's not that fucking hard. Risk / Reward teaching moment.

It's pretty simple.

But not for kids. You might as well tell them you're going to water board them.

People forget so soon about La'El Collins.

1st round pick, then it comes out that he is wanted for questioning in a murder.

Drops down, then he tells teams not to draft him.

Signs as an UDFA with DAL (and not with us, which pissed me off if you remember)

Cleared of any wrong doing (you probably didn't hear this) and is making UDFA $ instead of 1st round money.

Tens of millions off of a bad story.

If cleared, these guys should be able to sue.

And he wins. So what? I don't think it's a stretch to assume her net worth is less than 1 game's salary for him.

The only way to stop false accusations is to start actually punishing those that falsely accuse - maybe serving the same sentence the would-be rapist would've received would do the trick.

Interesting interview of those in the room with Conley. I have no clue to who this guy is or how accurate the information is, but it sounds like Conley may still be on the Eagles board.

The female who asked to remain anonymous says, “The entire story is BS. Gareon is a good guy; I was there the entire time. I watched everything and he did not rape anyone. Myles stated the same saying the female was probably just upset because she was kicked out of the room. She knew he was a future NFL player. He was talking to people that night and she was there the entire time, hearing him talk. Myles stated that Brooke and Gareon never had sex. Tyler and the anonymous black female agree.

Two questions for everyone.

Firstly - based on what you've read, would you be willing to risk a draft pick on Conley?

Secondly - if so, how late do you think you could wait before another team takes the risk on him?

My answers - so far it sounds like he will be cleared, so I would draft him. I think I'd hold my nerve until #99 at the end of round three but there is a long wait to get there from #43 so I'd be willing to trade up to the middle of the third round which would probably cost our fifth.
Zero
I don't know squat about drafting, but if the Eagles have the same information as was in that report I'd take him at #43. If he's cleared it's a value pick and a need pick.

Based only what we heard here, what makes you think he lasts past the first round?

Teams tend to be very nervous about something like this given that there simply hasn't been enough time for the police to do their job.

Look at the Collins example Mikey gave earlier for proof.
