"The NFL has recently come under fire for violating federal regulations regarding prescription medications, ignoring the guidance of the DEA, and for pumping players full of painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs to propel them through the season. Sealed court documents from a federal lawsuit filed by former players have been reviewed by The Washington Post reveal a sordid relationship between the league, drugs and pain management."

It happens in other sports as well. The BBC has an article today about the same problem in "soccer".

You bastards! duel.gif

Next time I'll leave "soccer" as football, which is what it is. I should know - I'll be at a proper football game tomorrow.

About the most ridiculous thing the NFL does is ban, "PEDs," while allowing pain meds. A pain med--in most instances, is about the most performance-enhancing of ANY drug an athlete can take. Basically, many players on them wouldn't even be able to perform at all without them. Pain meds should be controlled much more closely by professional sports in general. If you're on them, you shouldn't be allowed to play if they're going to ban other substances.

You do realize soccer is what the game was originally called, not football, right? wink.gif
