Left on the field by our birds. This game should have been a statement win.

Jordan couldn't bring in both feet in the end zone, Ertz couldn't block the defender in front on the punt return TD, Wentz made a bad readon the interception in the end zone and Celek botched the snap on a crucial field goal.

Still, most of us seemed pretty pleased with what the Eagles delivered today.

If we are still leaving 20+ points on the field two years from now it will be a problem. However, for a team in transition, it is more important to focus on the positive than to dwell on the negative.

That int is on Ertz to my eyes. It was a good throw. The receiver's responsibility is to "cross the face" of the defender on the short slant. Lazy route. The throw was where it was supposed to be.

Also, the block in the back from Ertz that negated the Sproles return TD... HORRIBLE play. The guy had no shot at the tackle. It's at the point of attack, right in front of the ref. All he had to do was . . . NOTHING. You know, nothing like on that non-block vs Burfect last week. Fucking Zack Ertz can't get out of his own way. Nice job getting 10 catches. But, he nearly single handedly lost us this game.

I'm not dwelling on the negative. Just pointing out the fact that this game, much like many others, should have been a win and a big one.

At the end of the season, whether we finish strong at 8-8 or fall apart to a 5-11, this team was definitely better than our record states. I like where we're going with these guys.
