Wowed by Eagles rookie quarterback Carson Wentz, a South Jersey brewmaster is mixing up a tribute - called "Wentzstefaner."

Production will begin Saturday at the Village Idiot Brewery in Mount Holly on the first batch, said owner Vince Masciandaro, a diehard Eagles fan.

Masciandaro got the idea after he learned that the German wheat beer Weihenstephaner Hefeweize is one of Wentz's favorites.

Wentz reportedly had a Weihenstephaner at the Belgian Cafe in Fairmount the night before the Eagles' 34-3 romp at the Linc over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night.

I love beer posts. Not sure this one here is available across the pond, but if so, get some:

Well, you can see by my last weeks can't lose lineup, franchise QB's like him and I drink alike!!

I just got back from this week's beer selection draft and I was eyeing one up again, but since I just had one last week, I drafted another instead.

My list, with my list of inactives will be out soon.

Have you ever tried that beer? It's an upgrade over Franziskaner Heffeweissen, which is no slouch in my book.

And Pila, I have not seen that brand in my travels.

Perhaps that explains your rare non Websterian post earlier in the week?

"Bock", or rather "Super Bock" is simply the name of the Brewery. It's an IPA, but not overly hoppy with a sweet finish. I'm a big fan.
