Full Version: Wentzitis
Eagles Forum > Philadelphia Eagles Message Board > Philadelphia Eagles or Football Related Discussion
Kid Carson seems to have grabbed the country's attention, even if it was "just the Browns." Here's a nice piece out of Chicago:
Next up for Wentz: his first road game; his first waltz onto the “Monday Night Football” stage; his first trip back to Chicago since walking across the Auditorium Theatre stage as the No. 2 overall pick in April’s draft.

The Bears defense won’t be sleeping any easier this week as they prepare for Wentz, fully aware now that the moment will not be too big for the rookie quarterback. The Bears also have Wentz’s 77-snap, 37-pass, 22-completion debut to study, a compilation that offers a glimpse into the quarterback’s moxie and football aptitude.

So what’s the book on Wentz? What strengths and weaknesses do the Bears have to be aware of as they intensify their preparation for next Monday night’s game at Soldier Field? Dude has a cannon, similar to Andrew Luck, incredible passion and, he’s a winner. But of course, you can’t invent him if he doesn’t exist.

Although there's only two rookies on this list, it's still an interesting view of the next stage of NFL signal callers.
Fans in Philadelphia got a glimpse last week of why this organization felt the need to move up and take Carson Wentz with the No. 2 overall pick. Wentz was in command from the very first snap against the Browns, and the game plan put together by Doug Pederson and the offensive staff was perfectly crafted to fit exactly what the North Dakota State product excels at.

The Franchise
I remember after Chip's first game against the Redskins, people were calling up WIP and adjusting their win predictions - nobody predicted fewer than 12 wins, and several predicted a 16-0 season.

He's a rookie.

It was the Browns.

Calm down people.
