Let's suppose Bradford plays well enough this year and the Eagles are in it until the end and he's injury free enough to start 15 games and Daniel plays the one game he doesn't start. Maybe they make the playoffs or just miss with a winning record.

The Kid really doesn't get a chance to play at all in the regular season.

Now it's next off season.

Sam played well enough that he is considered the best choice to win a game in 2017, given what they know.

The Kid has done everything they've asked, looks impressive in practice, right mind frame etc.

So based on skill and results, they should start the year with Sam in 2017 and the Kid is far enough along to be the back up. He needs no hand holding any longer.

Does Pedey have the guts to make the right football decision and cut Daniel??

I think Bradford is out of here except in the dreadful case where he gets injured in game one and is out for the season. He won't have any trade value. Would they have to eat the remainder of his contract?

After Sam moves on, Daniel starts a few games in 2017, looks mediocre and the people clamor for the kid.

If Bradford has played that well and Wentz looks that promising, then we'll get a decent enough offer for Bradford that he'll be gone and Wentz will start.

Your scenario would be a nice problem to have. The one we don't want is Wentz struggling and Bradford plays well, meaning that we have to keep Bradford as the starter in 2017 rather than get anything for him whilst worrying that the moves up were a waste.

Why stop there?

What happens if Bradford lights up the league and takes you deep into the playoffs?

and this being Philadelphia where the "knowledgeable" fans clamor for the wrong thing almost religiously....

Here is what will happen.....Bradford will have a great year......the fans will clamor for Wentz......Bradford will go to another team for nextt o nothing because Howie will overvalue the trade market.....Daniels will play and suck......Wentz will come in and look awesome for 2 games and then blow up his knee and we will bein agony yet again....with our luck Bradford will go to a team and win a SB....that is just how things shake out for us and our beloved Eagles....take the worst and most bizarre outcome and that is what happens to us.

Nobody answered my question.

In my scenario, would Pedey cut Daniels, which is the right decision at that time.

For whatever it's worth, Bradford has a cap hit of $22.5 mil and dead $9.5, Daniel $8 mil and $7 mil. The dead money isn't appreciably different unless they trade Sleeves, then the dead money goes down to $5.5 mil. The contract seems to be structured for a trade.

Wait....aren't you the guy who asked "who cares about the money?"

Geez you're an itch. Yes, but the way the contract is structured lends a view into what the team is probably thinking. Agreed?

No, Daniels stays under all circumstances. If Bradford lights it up, they all stay. Aaron Rogers didn't play for three years. I don't think they'll have any problem going into next year with the exact same configuration. They meant it when they said they were investing in QB's. This is not a bluff.

What if Sam has a solid year--only misses a couple games and puts up average or better #s?

He is not your long-term guy, short of something very unusual with Wentz.

The team probably is not good enough to make a serious playoff run in 2017 and therefore does not need a QB who is just a little better than the others.

Do you turn down a 2nd round pick in a trade for Sam in order to get one or two extra Ws in 2017?

Trading Sam creates some additional cap space and keeps more $ in Lurie's pocket. The cap space can be used to make the team better in other ways. J Lurie is certainly not a cheap owner, but can he justify keeping Sam?

If Bradford is traded then Daniels would be the #2.
