Shorts reports tell us that Givens is fast and can catch the ball. Stretch, field? Randle ... experience at least. Mathews is in his third year, has done pretty good so far, better when he had someone else to draw some traffic. Huff? Agholor ...

The NFL is a tough enough endeavor for a 23- or 24-year-old who is still growing into his body and has spent the vast majority of his life matching up against physically inferior defenders. Now, try doing it while moving at 1 million miles an hour, against coverages that seem to know where you are going before you go there.

Kelly's playbook sacrificed complexity for tempo, and that sometimes left his receivers feeling as if they were running to stand still. Kelly's critics often focused on the predictability of his calls.
We might add that while the kid was learning he suffered a high ankle sprain that put serious holes in his ability to cut and accelerate. Those sprains take a long time to recover from.

Our receiver's problems are at the end of their arms, not the ankle. Fucking stone handed. Couldn't catch a cold.

Oh, you fix that by selling the farm to get a QB at #2.

Angholor's last catch of the season against the Jints, in which he suffered a concussion was pretty ridiculous. I don't know how one can't be impressed by how he cut 90-degrees without slowing down and sent the first defender looking for a ghost.

Hopefully more of that to come.

Maybe it wasn't against the Jintz. Maybe it never happened and I just dreamed it...

Either way, it was impressive.

With the added depth they should be fresh and motivated to compete.

Several should benefit from the extra year of maturation.

We'll see what the new WR coach can contribute.

The improved O Line, especially for the RBs, should help with Pass/Run threat balance; however, Sammy will want to sling it as he auditions to be "the man" somewhere else.
