16 DB, 13 WR and only 5 RB.

That's odd.

Also, they have Wiz at b/u C as opposed to starting OG.

I assume they are guessing. The Eagles' site is not showing a chart.

I would not be surprised if they sign another LB after final cuts and move the rookie to the practice squad.

Agree with Joe ... Wiz has been a C and may compete at both. Most locals seem to be guessing Seumalo could win the LG spot.

Not to rob the thread, but Howie has taken a lot of abuse over the years, most of it well earned, but what he's done this year - at this point - has been a revelation. He may have been working most of 2015 to oust the Chip on his shoulder, but he also seems to have been studying the roster and learning how to not only salvage what was burned but find a way to grow success in the ashes. Most of what he's done can't be judged fairly for a couple of years, but on the surface he has sprouts from the seeds he got in Miami, Tennessee and the open market plus a transplanted tree to lead his defense. Add in Douglas and Weidl to add things in upcoming years - assuming they have the clout to do their jobs - and one has to be impressed. Sure, there's some weeds too, but if things reasonably go according to his plan he could be in the running for executive of the year.

My best guess is that Seumalo is likely their center of the long-term future, and a nice insurance policy until then. They seem to emphasize that he is really smart and the son of a college DLine coach. That sounds like the recipe for a guy who has to set the O Line pre-snap blocking scheme, not an OG.

Maybe Wiz is just a short term insurance policy until the rookie is ready. Maybe they fear that Kelce will have a short career due to his size.

I bet they are presenting Seumalo as an OG so they don't create any Bradford-like problems with Kelce on the O Line.

I don't expect to see Seumalo on the O Line this year unless there are injuries.

I heard last night that Seumalo was a better OC than OG. He apparently struggled at OG on his tape. I can't remember which talking head said it.

I got to think Wiz is the starting OG

Check this out,NFL.com's predicted starting lineup for the Eagles.

Three surprises.

Which three surprised you?

No surprises on D since I expect the 30yr old McKelvin to man the slot and Carroll to be outside. Someone wrote that Carroll is a little bigger and has very little experience in the slot.

I don't expect Seumalo to start.

They have the Eagles in two tight end formation rather than three WR. Maybe they will do that out of respect for Celek, especially at home games, but I expect to see more starts by Randle this year.
