But he has to work on a fundamental flaw-

He jumps every single time when it isn't necessary.

When ever he sits in a zone and the ball is delivered at his frame ( between chest and reach) he jumps to catch the ball. This makes catching the ball more difficult for no reason. And it has resulted into a key drop and a key interception.

The good news it's he doesn't do this when he's running. But, at least up until now, he needs to keep his feet planted when the ball is delivered to his frame.

Anyone else notice this?

I've always found there to be something slightly unnatural about his game. Maybe that is it. He just doesn't look like as fluid an athlete as the great ones.

Watch the replays. Not sure why he does it, but that's the reason the ball hits his hands harder than it has to.

FWIW, Cooper does the same.

It has been noted before about Cooper.

Never noticed it with Matthews.
