Full Version: Eagles were flat in the first half

Atlanta stole one with better coaching and preparation. Judging only by the play of the Eagles DL in the first half, the Eagles just weren't ready. No question those guys should be doing much better than they did against at best a suspect OL, and they did in the second half. The offense was the same story ... bitch slapped in the first half and then bullies for most of the second half.

I think you're right, but we should be pleased with just how much better we looked in the second half. Our coaches made all the right adjustments and put us in a position to win the game.

Ultimately, that bullshit call against Kiko at the end of the first half really screwed us.

On a side note, Fletcher Cox was an absolute monster.

There were a couple of bullshit calls and non-calls, they shouldn't have had anything to do with the outcome. The way they played in the first half and the resulting loss will hopefully be inspiration and motivation for them, especially for Sunday.

You would hope not, but when it directly leads to 7 points heading into halftime (giving the opponent a 17 point lead) it does have an impact on the outcome.

The bad calls started in the first series. Marking Demarco for a 12 yard loss was bullshit. He had forward progress where it should have been a 3-4 yard loss. They gang tackled him back another 8 yards and THAT's where they spot it? Utter nonsense. That call on Kiko was the worst. So too, both holding calls on Kelce were atrocious. They were TEXTBOOK blocks. NOT holds.

We lost. We deserved to lose. But the refs were fucking HORRIBLE.
