Hey X, good luck against Tebow today. Tebow might be battling Barkley for the backup job and Sanchez could be the odd man out. Sanchez was brutal in his two series.

TeBlow plays for the eagles, so I'll be rooting for him.

Neither him or Barkley are in the same stratosohere as Sanchez, tho.

Slight exaggeration but Sanchez was bad today.

C'mon.

The line is "Surely you can't be serious?"

Then the reply is

"I am serious, and don't call me Shirley"

I actually think Barkley might be better than Sanchez long term. If he came out after his jr. year he would've been a top ten pick and if he didn't hurt his shoulder his senior year he would've still went in the first round.

Lots of guys went in the first round who were out of the league in two years.

From my vantage point, being stuck around the corner from the Vikings training center. And listening to them woop it up over beating Tampa Bay. It was a delight to watch our Eagles today without distraction. The first quarter, not stellar, then you could see the rust start falling off and a team that started to gel. Sanchez played like he always does. Barkley did better than i would have expected. Tebow, I think he is the odd man out. All his snaps were low, protection not so good.
Defense started a little slow, once they got the cobwebs off, extremely impressed. Rowe was awesome today.

EAGLES RULE!!!!

True but Barkley was by far the consensus #1 QB in the national coming out of high school and pretty much lived up to the hype his first three years in college despite playing for a USC team that had a lot of issues on and off the field.

If 2012 hadn't been such a QB rich draft, Luck and RG3, Barkley would've certainly been a top 5 pick. And even with those guys he would've been top 10 if he came out.

If it comes down to Tebow or Barkley I would chose the latter. I wonder if Chip would keep 4 QBs?

My only point is that it doesn't matter where a player is drafted. An undrafted player can become all pro and the first pick can be a bum.

Jason Peters is a good example of the former.

My expectations for Sanchez this year was some improvement over last year.

Last year, he was pretty accurate, overall. His pitfalls were his untimely INT's and his lack of arm strength to open up the deep outs.

They said his arm was not back to where it was last year b/c of the surgery. I thought maybe another year of healing would put the deep out back in the playbook. And if he would cut down the INT's, he could be average or maybe a little better, considering the Chip bump.

Yesterday was the worst he's ever looked in a game for the Eagles. May even be the worst seven pass stretch, ignoring INT"s.

Last year, he was the better QB than Foles in games and training camp.

I'm not writing him off yet, but make no mistake, he was bad yesterday.

Another poor showing for two more weeks and then we may have a battle for #2. (and not with Tebow)
