Vandervelde is a C, so hopefully that was nothing more than checking out his versatility which is necessary for a back up.
If he's being looked at as a serious candidate for RG rather than emergency depth, then we have even bigger problems on the OL than I originally recognised. We need a player to emerge as better than the rest rather than scratching around trying to find the least worst option.
