Full Version: Where could Mathis wind up?

Realistically, his deal, if they did something like a three year deal with a decent amount as SB, would probably come in at around $3M cap hit this year.

If that is where the cap charge ends up, then only the bottom four are unrealistic destinations and the other 28 teams have the dough. If they decide to cut an existing player to make room for Mathis, then only the bottom two should be out of price range, from a cap perspective.

Note to the file. The Eagles have crept up into the top ten in cap room and are in a more familiar, comfy cozy 10-15% of unused cap for the year.

The obvious place for him to sign is with a team that has a crying need for two new starters at his position, so it won't take long for him to be snapped up.

Oh shit ....
