Small excerpt from the article "Chip's been doing a lot of stuff this year, so I think anything's possible," Decker told The New York Daily News. "Really, (Tebow) can create his own role. I know he wants to be head quarterback, but he can create a role for himself that can help a team in many ways, (whether it's) the two-point conversion if it's moved up or a goal-line package. He has the athletic ability to be a personal punt protector ... and can play other positions. They'll figure out a way to utilize him if it's going to help them be a better football team."

With the rule change, I guess that improves the odds of Kelly keeping him. A short yardage specialist as QB would be an interesting experiment. I'm sure the rest of the league would watch it with interest.

Didn't you guys just sign a big back? Or are about to? My coworker (a Dallas fan, from Rhode Island, go figure) was talking about it.

We worked out Ben Tate and Daniel Thomas, but haven't signed either of them. They are the only guys I can think of that your coworker might be talking about. Truthfully, unless something unusual turns up, I haven't really gotten the impression we're seriously in the market for running back. Jerry got him a Razorback in McFaddon, so he'll probably go with him for at least a year. And Randle has managed to go a few months without being a total dumbass so they may be holding out hope he can keep it up. Personally, I'll believe it when I see it. The one they may be banking on is Williams, who they picked up and then let spend another year healing from an injury he got in Arizona.

Tate could be good behind that line. But as a rival fan, I'm rooting for McFadden to win the job and do his usual thing! wink.gif

Since he's from Arkansas, he'll probably get every chance...and maybe even a couple he doesn't deserve. Jerry gets kind of sentimental about his Razorbacks.

Yeah, but his consolation prize Razorback from that draft didn't do too bad for you guys.
