Full Version: How 'bout them Oregon skill players!
Eagles Forum > Philadelphia Eagles Message Board > Philadelphia Eagles or Football Related Discussion
Much has been said about Kelly's inability to win bowl games and how that will translate to his potential to win a SB. This is a double edged sword now that he has personnel authority, but so far it looks like he's pulling the right strings. I found his record in Oregon with respect to his skill position players there and their draft history very surprising. I think it's also interesting how, for the most part Kelly seems to have avoided drafting his Oregon skill players but has opted more for their defensive players and skill players from the teams he played in the PAC.
Marcus Mariota is the only skill position player Kelly recruited at Oregon who went on to become a first-round pick. The only other ones drafted besides Huff were a couple of tight ends (Ed Dickson in the third round in 2010 and David Paulson in the seventh round in 2012) and a trio of running backs (LaMichael James in the second round in 2012, Kenjon Barner in the sixth round in 2013, De'Anthony Thomas in the fourth round in 2014).
Linc ...
Ahmad Rashed?

Wow, that is a dry spell.

The only one we have to hope does well is Huff. We need him to step it up.
