The guy, Casey is surprising a lot of us with his improved play, but apparently he's not surprising some other people:

The Eagles don't need Matthews to be like his brother or father. They just need him to be solid enough to help make up for the loss of Ryans. The coaches are pleased with how he's played, and he has two more months to change the reputation forged during his rookie year.

He's played well as of late and I hope he continues to do so.

I never thought of him as a scapegoat for that 2011 disaster.

There was a ton of blame to go elsewhere for that season.
