I wouldn't just cut Howard. I'd keep him and platoon him and hope he rebounds a bit for more to be interested in him in the future. Even if he improves to the point that a trade partner pays a bigger % of his salary, then it is a relative asset worth grooming. 10 mill buys a lot.
