Interesting read on gamble Hinkie took with drafting Payton. A first and second to move up two spots? Good move by the Hinkster! Also, Saric is the better prospect of the two, if he ever comes over to play.

And apparently Saric said he's not a liar and will be in Philadelphia after his commitment to Turkey.

I tried to find how much Saric makes on his Turkish contract vs. what the NBA rookie salary scale is but couldn't find details of his contract. Concern is that he may make a lot more in Turkey for the first few years of NBA.

I'm happy they got the 2017 pick back. I know it had protection, but I see it as just another part of Hinkie's mandate to clean up the mess he inherited. It closes the books on the Bynam trade now, rather than 3 more years down the line.

I think this makes the running total four 2nd round picks for the 76ers in 2015 and two in 2016, although a couple of those (one in each year) will convey to Boston if the 2015 1st is a lottery pick.
