How about the depth by position by category in this FA class?? DM= diff maker, IS = Impact Starters,
SQ =Starters w/Questions, RR = Effective in right role, OT = Other

Pos.....DM.......IS.......SQ.......RR.......OT......Total
FS.......1.........0.........2.........3.........0..........6
SS.......0.........1.........2.........0.........0..........3
CB.......0.........4.........4.........4.........0.........12
DE.......0.........0.........2.........1.........1..........4
DT.......0.........0.........0.........1.........1..........2
OLB.....0.........0..........1........0..........1.........2
OG......0.........0.........2.........3..........0.........5

Look at that FA CB class! Combined with the plethora of CB's in the draft, we can easily improve our CB's.

Slim pickings for 34OLB and 34DT and 34DE. Could possibly get some depth at OG for reasonable money.

Get Byrd for FS and get a CB in FA who is an upgrade over ours, then we go to the draft.

Draft Pryor for SS at #22, then go best available OLB or 34DE at #54, and #86 and then best available WR and either OG or DT after that.

Then go back into FA and pick up depth at either the DT or OG we didn't get in the draft.

Then sit back and enjoy the ride!!

I was listening to Gargano yesterday and he was going all ga ga over drafting a 6' 5" WR with 22 and adding him to DJax, Maclin, Cooper, Ertz, Celek and Shady. If they could land Byrd and add someone who could get to the QB consistently, with that offense they could win.

I'm not sure the Eagles need a shut down defense with that kind of offense. Will the offense improve in '14 just because it's Kelly's second year, Ertz has a full off-season, the players are more familiar with the system and the pace? Will the defense improve because Cole has a full year of experience as a 3-4 OLB? Will Graham?

Edit:
Good article by Domo on FA expectations.

My draft board is shot.

CB's #12 Talib, #27 DRC (no way), #39 Thurmond, #55 Munerlyn are all available
OLB #55 D. Smith still there

Non Top 100 OLB Neal and DT Melton still around.

This blows!

But maybe we'll get Revis Island???
