He was talking about coach's tape analysis he had on his site.

Pretty clear pics of our problems.

I still have plenty of doubts about Davis.

Good stuff. Worth following

Having Woolf line up inside on the Welker TD makes some sense - its a blitz, and the inside slant is the easiest pass to complete against that. With the advent of option routes, the WR is going to adjust the route to what he's seeing, and you're already at a disadvantage by having a safety covering a wideout (rather than a smaller, quicker CB). What you're gambling on is that the blitz will get to the QB before the WR has the time to make that outside cut, or maybe that the QB and WR don't have the same option route adjustment in mind.

Getting the right personnel out there is one of those things that was expected to be a problem, as everybody is still learning the defense this year. Time will tell whether its a chronic issue or not.

In that spot on the field, why not line on him and chuck the lighter Welker at the LOS to disrupt things. It's not like there is a lot of open field or height advantage if he gets a 1/2 step behind him after the chuck. Worst case is a Td over the top to him with a step on the S as opposed to an out route where he has two teps on us. Also, it disrupts the timing of the read by Manning and makes it more difficult for Manning to decipher if he's going straight, left or right. The way we did it, he knew pre snap. Granted, my solution takes aggression, coaching and bite. Three things we don't have.
