Scenario #1. Sd uses none of their timeouts before getting possession:

1st and 10 from the 14 2:29 left. - let the play clock run down to the 2 min warning

1st and 10 from the 14 2:00 left. Run the ball for 2 yards. Play takes 6 seconds until it is spotted. Let play clock run down to 32 seconds

2nd and 8 from the 12 1:22 left - run the ball for 2 yards. Play takes six seconds until it is spotted. Let the play clock run to 32 seconds

3rd and 6 from the 10, 0.50 left. run the ball for 2 yards. Play takes six seconds until it is spotted. Let the play clock run to 32 seconds

4th and 4 from the 8, 0:16 left.

Kick the FG, 3 seconds taken 0:13 left

Kick the ball off, after the idiot DJ foul, and they have 0:10 left from our 49 with two timeouts.

They actually got the ball with 1:52 left with two timeouts

Scenario #2. Sd uses both of their timeouts before getting possession:

1st and 10 from the 14 2:29 left. - let the play clock run down to the 2 min warning

1st and 10 from the 14 2:00 left. Run the ball for 2 yards. Play takes 6 seconds until it is spotted. Let play clock run down to 32 seconds

2nd and 8 from the 12 1:22 left - run the ball for 2 yards. Play takes 6 seconds. SD uses first timeout.

3rd and 6 from the 10, 1:16 left. run the ball for 2 yards. Play takes six seconds until it is spotted. SD uses second timeout

4th and 4 from the 8, 1:10 left.

Kick the FG, 3 seconds taken 1:07 left

Kick the ball off, after the idiot DJ foul, and they have 1:04 left from our 49 with NO timeouts.which takes away most of the middle of the field routes

They actually got the ball with 1:52 left with two timeouts,
Option 1 would be 0:10 left with both timeouts
Option 2 would be 1:07 left with no timeouts, of which one was needed to set up the kick of the FG.

Gross clock mismanagement.
