I'll take a look into it later to see what we got.

Unfortunately, none of whom I mentioned before. Surprised I went o-for on that list.

Did a little checking of who these guys are looking to see where they were ranked and it seems to be the worst UDFA group I remember. Every year there are more than a few guys who slip thru the draft even though they have draftable ratings. For example, each year, there are about 40-60 players who are rated as draftable prospects that don't get picked for whatever reason and we would alwyas get our share of those guys. Last year we had the Rb Polk, D. Johnson to name a few who stood out. Both made the team. Polk had a 3rd round grade and dropped. He made the team.

Keep in mind, there are 254 draft picks. So theoretically, anyone ranked in the top 254 should be drafted. In reality about 40 - 60 players with draftable rating don't get picked so it's not unusual to have 2-3 UDFA with draftable tags. Also, if each team signs 9 UDFA, that would be 288 more prospects drafted, increasing the total pool to around 542.

One other thing about the list that is odd. Not one CB or S. I thought they would load up there but there are none.

I looked at six sources who rank a lot of players. Mayock lists 500, NFP 405, Drafttek 400, ESPN 260 (but has deeper position rankings), CBSDraftScout 1000, and Scouts 300. Here are their rankings in the order listed in the previous sentence:

J. Knott OLB Iowa St - 252, 137, 341, >260, 187, 217 - looks to be 6th or 7th round talent.
M. Maysonet RB, Stony Brook - 279,299,234,139,320,170 - anywhere from 5th - early UDFA talent
B. Wing P LSU - >500,206,262,205,259,>300. A real nut job with big character issues. some have as 7th round talent
M. Tucker RB TCU - 321,250,>400,>260,455,257. A few 7th round grades, not much.
D. Square DE Alabama - 366,187,>400,>260, 384, 299. One 6th round grade otherwise not much here.
R. Shepard WR LSU - >500,>405,>400, >260, 379,>300. Camp fodder
K. Quinn OC, Arizona - >500,>405,>400, >260, 466,>300. Camp fodder
M. Tobin OG Iowa - >500,>405,>400, >260, 379,>300. Camp fodder
I. Remington DT Oregon - >500,>405,>400, >260, >1000 ,>300. Camp fodder with pictures of Chip in a bad spot

Here were the best UDFA out there:

I'm disappointed we got none of them.

Maybe they have some Free Agents lined up in the near future, especially in the def backfield.
