Dang, but reading this, we must have been nuts to get rid of him cool.gif :
One of the most respected special-teams tutors in the NFL, April has overseen NFL special-teams units in the league for 21 seasons, including the last three with the Philadelphia Eagles. Last season, Eagles punter Matt McBriar averaged 46.5 yards per punt and punt returner Damaris Johnson returned a punt 98 yards for a touchdown at Dallas on Dec. 2, marking a franchise record and tying for the third-longest punt return in NFL history. April's punt-return unit, including punter Chas Henry, allowed just 176 return yards, the fourth best in the NFL, and the team ranked third in the league in punt coverage.

...which leaves off that we were 26st in KO return average, 21st in KO coverage average, and 31st in PR coverage average.

And we blame Spads for painting a too rosey picture!
The part about "only gave up 176 yards (on PR)" is just wrong. Looks like what he did was take the PR yardage against Henry in 2011 (176 yds) and assumed it was the number for PR this year, when we were actually significantly worse on coverage in 2012. And while he got McBriar's average right, because our coverage was so lousy his net was actually last in the NFL.
Wow, who's their PR guy - Saddam Hussein's Minister of Truth?

Our special teams have flat-out sucked for as long as I can remember apart from when Harbaugh was here. He really did an amazing job. Harbaugh that is, not douchebag April.
No wondering why the Raiders are one of the 3 teams with a higher draft pick in 2013...

Wow, who's their PR guy - Saddam Hussein's Minister of Truth?

I'm pretty sure he's working in the League office.
