Full Version: Eagles' interest in Shrine Game players
Eagles Forum > Philadelphia Eagles Message Board > Philadelphia Eagles or Football Related Discussion
here were the players I saw speaking with NFC East teams after practices in the two days of practice that I attended:
  • Josh Hill, TE, Idaho St. 6'5, 229. 70 catches for 630 yards (9.0 per catch) and 5 TD in 2012.
  • T.J. Johnson, C, South Carolina 6'5, 315 All SEC second team (Coaches' vote).
  • A.J. Klein, LB, Iowa St. 62, 244. 117 tackles (117 in 2011, 111 in 2010), 3.5 TFL, 1 sack, 1 INT in 2012. Has 4 pick 6′s the last 3 years.
  • Nathan Williams, LB, Ohio St. 6'3, 249. Played DE at Ohio St. Had a knee injury in 2011, which was thought to be career threatening. 4.5 sacks and 8.5 TFL in 2010 (his last full season prior to injury). 39 tackles, 2 sacks, 3.5 TFL in 2012.

The guys (media guys, not personnel guys) pointed out a player to me on the first day that they really liked on film. His name is Keith Pough from Howard University. He has been the most vocal player on the field for either team. Constant chatter, great energy, really competes, and tries to get his teammates to do the same. He looks like he has great speed, and the motor never stops.

Shrine Game is Saturday at 4 PM EST on NFLN
The one guy who really bumped up his stock at the Shrine Game week was DE Devin Taylor. He's 6'8", so could be a good fit as a 3-4 DE if he can fill into his frame. He really overwhelmed every OT he faced, and looked good at the game, also. The downside is he only had 3 sacks all season despite having super sophomore DE Jadeveon Clowney as his bookend.
