So the Eagles lose to Dallas on Sun night on the national stage. And they lose it in the closing minutes of the 4th qtr having held the lead for a good while.

Now normally I would be sick as a dog about that. I'd be rantin' and ravin' and spittin' all over myself, kicking an air dog around the place, being generally grumpy and not talking to anyone unless I really had to. I'd be a mess and a pain in the ass to be around. And I would be bummed usually until about hump day when my optimism would start to come back.

But today I'm calm about it. It's as if it never happened.

I can't quite make out why that is. But there it is and it's new for me.

Apathy alert in effect: code red.

It's going to take some very special Eagles news to wake me up fan wise. I'm dead inside about the team and their misfortunes and the impact that has on me.

Why heck, I've even been agreeing with Dreagon, a Cowboy cunt for pete's sake (joking about the cunt part .. it's a habit when it comes to the cowboy fan). Mea culpa. bowdown.gif

But you get my point. The Eagles have abused my sensibilities to the point of they might as well take one more swipe at me to finish me off for good. At least then I get to find out about this after life debate.

What a puzzle wacko.gif

I think it has to do with the fact that the only people we cared about watching played relatively well.

I have zero expectations of winning any game with the team we're running on the field right now.

I hate the Cowboys with everything I got and I felt the same way.

I went into the game thinking it would be best to lose them all, then when we had the lead, I was figuring, well, if we had to win one, let it be the cowboys game.

Don't worry.

There's not one guy on that team who would be as angry as you and I used to get.

The days of Trotter, Dawk and Joyner are gone.

I long for the day when I can look at an Eagles player and by his post loss demeanor, know that he was hurting as much as me and my Eagles bar crowd was hurting after the loss.

These dogs have no bite. Worse yet, they're raising pups in the same mold.

Go draft me some players who know how to win, AND absolutely detest to lose with every bone in their body.

Maybe then, we'll have a team worthy of our praise.

And one more thing, I would take DRC out to the practice field and throw pass after pass to Avant and Celek and make that pussy tackle them and stop him cold before I would let him out of the drill. He, Nnamdi the bust, and every other pussy DB they have on that team needs to know that the lack of balls is not allowed on this team any longer. Remember that drill that Vince Papale had to go thru in Invincible where he had to elude a OL to tackle the RB. Same thing. If they don't like it, there's the door. What, maybe opposing QB's will have a field day if they leave? Oh that's right, they already have been averaging a rating of fucking 140 against these bunch of gutless clowns.

See that Boca, you got me all pissed off just thinking about it.

I was comfortable in my fan of a losing team mode and you got me started..............

A bunch of fucking tin men. And they can't cover anyone either.

And to think I used to get mad at Bobby Taylor.

I completely agree.

Not only with the notion that a DullAss loss could hurt so little, but also with the outright cowardly play of nnamdi and drc. Coleman sucks, but at least he's playing like a phuqing man. Nate Allen? He's gotta be the worst safety we've ever trotted out there in my 40+ years of bleeding green. Not only is he terrible, takes laughable angles, blows coverages like a porn star blows cocks, but he's a coward to boot.

Shit can the lot of em.

And while we're at it . . . if Akeem Jordan is on this squad next year, I don't know if I'll be able to watch anymore.

Sums it up.

Fantastic comments, I agree with all of the above. And just think if Andy Reid gets to come back next year, we get to do this whole disaster one more time~!

I think our offense would not be too hard to rebuild next year especially with a healthy o-line. I have no idea how to move forward with anyone on this defense.

This season makes me wonder- is this what it's like to be a Browns fan? Imagine the feeling of compete apathy and indifference they must have towards their team. God I hope the eagles never get to THAT point

The city of Philadelphia is one recent WS title away from being Cleveland over the last 30 years. Imagine if we lost that series. But we didn't, so in reality we can't comprehend what it's like to a Cleveland sports fan. Honestly give props to Browns fans for showing up ever, much less almost every game.

The fact that our teams frequently compete has masked the similarities in futility of course.
