I wouldn't hold out much expectation that the Eagles will do anything, since we've never taken a player in the supplemental during the entire Reid tenure. Any rookie you draft will already have missed all the offseason workouts to this point so they'll already be behind, and it costs the equivalent draft pick in next year's draft.

The NFL will hold its annual supplemental draft on Thursday. Eight players are eligible to be selected. The draft will be conducted electronically, with NFL teams essentially submitting bids for any players they covet. The team that offers the highest pick gets the player, and they surrender a corresponding pick in the 2013 draft.

I've got a feeling, what with all the hype I'm hearing, that some team is going to overpay for Gordon.

We can always hope that it's Chainsaw Dan Snyder - bring a smile to everyone's face.

Cleveland got him for a second round pick. Whew! I'm just glad it wasn't Jerry getting carried away with all the hype and overpaying. What with us hunting a replacement for Laurent Robinson, I was getting nervous.

Hard to argue that the Browns can't use him, but that 2nd rounder is a steep price to pay considering where Cleveland's likely to end up this year (e.g. its likely to be a pretty high 2nd round pick they're giving up).

A few of the other eligibles like Wesley will probably sign on as UDFAs somewhere.
