The Eagles starting OL is now solidified for years to come. #freeagency.

So the Mathis deal to re-sign with the #Eagles is 5 years, $31.25 max, $9 m first 2 years, $7 guaranteed, according to a source.

He'll earn $9 million over the first two years of the deal.

To all the Eagles fans who offered me various food and incentives to return... I've come to collect. #FLY

Add a safety to that list and call it "done." W/ draft for depth and future . . . I'd be content.

Our safeties aren't that bad. My biggest concern is DRC at corner, he blows.

I bet we don't sign a big name LB. LB is a stupid position.

Agree with both. Given our youth at S I'd prefer a veteran to be brought in. If we draft high there then it means we're writing off Jarrett already. An experienced SAM is our other FA need.

Right now I'd say the Dixon offer means Landri won't be back and a DT will be taken in rounds 1 or 2. Wouldn't be averse to using our third to trade up and secure Kuechly at 10-12 and that has addressed our remaining holes, although I'd like a return specialist both for kickoffs and to keep Jackson fresh.

It's a pleasantly short list, and leaves us the cap room to extend McCoy (especially if/when we trade Samuel).

Not a bad roster for 2012 right now (starters in bold, needs underlined and bubble players/needs/depth in italics).

3 QB - Vick, Kafka, Edwards
3 RB - McCoy, Lewis, depth
1 FB - Schmitt?
5 WR - Jackson, Macklin, Avant, Cooper?, returner
3 TE - Celek, Harbor, depth
4 T - Peters, Herremans, Dunlap?, depth
3 G - Mathis, Watkins, Gibson
2 C - Kelce, Reynolds?
5 DE - Cole, Babin, Tapp, Graham, Hunt?
4 DT - Jenkins, Patterson, Dixon, need
7 LB - Rolle, need, FA, depth, Jordan, Fokou, Chaney
5 CB - Asomugha, Rodgers-Cromartie, Hanson, Marsh, Hughes?
4 S - Allen, Coleman, FA, Jarrett
4 ST - Henry, Henery, Dorenbos, Anderson

Good news is that the only changes on offense are for depth, so the continuity there will stand us in good stead. So we need Castillo and his defence to improve if we are to be contenders.

Between now and TC, I think the Eagles will add:
Vets - RB, S, LB and maybe a RZ WR
Rookies - LB, DT, PR/KR, OL, QB, WR
