Full Version: Eagles trade Justice to Colts
Eagles Forum > Philadelphia Eagles Message Board > Philadelphia Eagles or Football Related Discussion
The Philadelphia Eagles today announced that they have agreed to terms with DE Trent Cole on a four-year contract extension through the year 2017.
The Eagles continue to make moves, as the team announced Wednesday the re-signing of defensive tackle Antonio Dixon and a trade of offensive tackle Winston Justice Justice and a 2012 sixth-round pick will be sent to the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for a 2012 sixth-round pick.

This probably means we swapped our 13th pick in the sixth for the 2nd pick in the 6th, although we also have the Pats and Broncos 6th round picks later on so it could have been one of those as well. The real benefit is that it frees up about $3-$4 million in cap room by moving Justice, who was likely going to be cut anyway.

The Cole and Herremans extensions are good moves, not exciting but locks up two very solid guys probably through the rest of their careers.

Justice is GONE?!?!?

Justice has $956,000 prorated in 2012 & 2013. That accelerates into $1.912 hit, saving Eagles $2.334 million in 2012 cap [$4.256m-$1.912m].
Great move...the Eagles are moving the right way. Now, sign Tulloch.
