What are they?...everytime I'm here there's always a few of them (so I never feel lonely). Are they the lurkers that frequent our board from other boards? I assume this site doesn't show up in search engines yet, so the only way to really find us is by already knowing about us, right?
I assume a guest is a lurker, someone who hasn't registered...but what is an anonymous member? How does one obtain that status?

It's an option when logging into the board. Just select anonymity and other members won't see you listed as being active here.

Can't think why anyone would want to, but it's their choice. Don't think it stops them posting though.

We're even watching on your vacations...

I although I don't use the anonymous feature, I could see why one might want to use it. If you click on the who's here link by last click, you can tell exactly what each person is doing here.

Although most of us don't careif someone knows what they're reading, there are certainly a large number of right-wing freaks out there who think big brother is watching them.

Anonymous lets you peruse the board in peace.

Of course, those of you who want to continue posting on the "Circle Jerk" board should keep a low profile here, since rumour has it they review the posts here to see what treacherous bastards would deign to post in both places, and to summarily execute such bad apples.

We of course, being the civilized sort that we are, could care less where you've been, as long as you don't track dirt over our clean floors (and please, discard your used condoms in the trash can by the curb). We would hope you'd save your good material for our board, as we like to think we have higher standards than some people.

In fact, we're such nice guys we're not even keeping track of whether you refer to us as the "fairy ass portal" or other such insulting nomenclature when posting over there (though I'd have your wife start the car if you do engage in such behavior ). We understand that grop think requires going along with the crowd.

In conclusion, we have no intention of "outing" those who wish to stay in the Eagle posting closet, we understand that it takes courage to present yourself and your ideas (and bad spelling) to the world.

Let's let the past in the past. Lots of good posters who are still over there, lots of good posters who are here. Some visit both sites. Let's leave it at that.

Actually, most people are anonymous I think because they're more interested in reading than posting, so they don't need to identify their presence. Of course, I'm sure there are a few lurkers keeping track of us. Which is more amusing than anything else - "good riddance but what are you saying about us?" A couple posters here did note that they got trashed there for something they posted here, so someone is watching us.

I'd simply point out that no one here has a signature or avatar that signifies continued obsession with past events.

Zero and Wingspan are right. We've refrained from public comments like that since we started and there's no point in making them a month later.

Keep such thoughts to private conversation please.
