As somewhat of a newbie around here, I tend not to get involved with the petty arguing and B.S. that does go on around here. I agree and disagree with plenty of people on this. Usually with a disagreement, I'll knock on someone's comments rather than them personally. With that being said...this is often times the most sensitive group of grown men I've ever witnessed.

I enjoy this site because, regardless of the B.S, there is some of the best Eagles discussion on the web. Maybe it's just me, but as a man, my friends and I break each other's ball about everything. Name calling included. My best friend is a Redskins fan. The first Skins/Eagles game of last season prompted me to leave this message on his answering machine.
"I dislike you 363 days of the year, but this is one of two where I can truly say that I hate your guts."

Naturally I'd prefer that more posts stayed on their original topic, but people being idiots behind the safety of a chat board is standard practice. I just wish people would take a step back and realize what they're really getting all pissy about. Whether McNabb's TD/INT ratio justifies his number of worm burners? Is our window open or closing? Is Matt McCoy ever going to be any good? Damn that is some pretty unimportant shit that prompts some of ya'll to get your panties in a bunch.

Hey all, It was my comment that started this. I was ticked off at V man's 'mormon' comment. I played on the old churchill "but my dear I'll wake up sober and you'll still be ugly' line. I didn't intend as a 'name call' but thats how it read. IMing and message board posting is not the most efficient means of communication, as inflection is often lost. That being said my post read as it did. As they say on the field 'my bad'.

I though it was funny and appropriate. And I think VMan knows well enough to not take it to seriously. Honestly, I think he's more upset about 'goo's thread calling him out with the suggestion that he add the ole "apoloy" to his bag of tricks.

I got the vibe he read it as MUCH more insulting than the author intended, but then again....as you stated....it's often difficult to convey sarchasm and inflection with the written form.

If we're in the mood for sports cliches...in my opinion it was a team loss. Everyone on here occasionally says stupid shit, and a lot of people get personally offended when stupid shit is said.

Without trying to be offensive, I do find it ironic that the two individuals most seemingly pissed off have nics that suggest they long for days gone by, when the reality, those days were pretty shitty too. Damn we've had a pretty bad run of things.
