Mock Collins all you want but the guy was a solid nfl QB and led a non-Polian team to a SB appearance. Hardly a bum. The guy played for 18 years for Christ€™s sake.

It was a joke - he had an excellent career, including leading Polian's expansion Panthers to a conference championship appearance. Clearly he was done by 2011 and Polian likely brought him due to familiarity and lack of availability. Blaming Collins for that 2-14 season is as ridiculous as blaming Polian.

I guess I’m confused. Who is to blame for building a 2-14 roster?

Eh who gives a shit. The Eagles won the SB and Bill Polian thinks our backup QB is worth two first round picks.

Throw the term " the Eagles won the SB" in any debate and the silliness of whatever being discussed just pales in comparison. Mortal enemies become best friends!

Example:

It was hilarious watching the Bradford hating bar fly get on RF's case while watching him futilely try to defend Bradford's merits. But, hey, the Eagles won the SB.

I think Geno Smith is a bum de la bum, but hey, the Eagles won the SB.

See?

That phrase can end world wars.

When Peyton went down, 14-2 became 2-14. I'd wager there are some former Colts players who couldn't name their backup QBs during Manning's time there.

Isn't it great?! As you mentioned elsewhere, I'll probably never be anxious during an Eagles game ever again beyond basic excitement. And we're having yet another civil back and forth. What next, the Phillies winning 75 games?

Seriously. I’ve never felt more at peace with Eagles football. And I’ll never feel that same level of angst with every decision they make ever again.

Surely I’ll be bummed during the down times, but the next decade should be a whole lot of fun. And we won’t have that “when are they gonna do it” anxiety hanging over us.

The timing works well with me simply not having enough spare personal and emotional space to give, that comes along with having a young child.

Fun time to be a fan.

It takes a whole lot of incompetence to be 2-14. Manning literally masked Polian’s incompetencies for years.

Their OL was weak, their defense was pathetic. Reggie Wayne and Freeney were excellent, but other than that, he built a garbage team around Manning.

And then he claims he had a first round grade on Brady and didn’t draft him. Then proceeded to get kicked in the teeth by him regularly. Why admit that?

That dude sucks.

I'll be honest in that I've felt more relief than joy living up here in Massachusetts since 1960. It was Giant fans until Brady showed up. Hell, I was a Patriot fan up here before these idiots were when the old AFL was around. You couldn't find a Patriot hat around until Brady showed up. Now they're all on the bandwagon. No more jokes, 5 SB crap. I was glad NE made it to the SB so we could beat THEM! I knew that we had a better team and that we'd shove it where the sun don't shine to them. I just wish that we hadn't made it so close but the refs kept them in it IMO. Of course these idiots think that's why they lost lol. They get called for 2 5 yard penalties in 2 games but they got screwed. Unreal.

That dude sucks.

He's in the HOF. He was voted exec of the year twice. He was GM of the Bills team that went to the SB three times. He was GM of the Panthers their first two years and took them to the NFCCG the second year. Those are pretty decent credentials.

One child and out of emotional space? When you get to three, that trip to the bar on Sundays is your refuge! And then the boys get into the team in a big way and start wanting to go to the bar with you at age six and feel hurt and don't understand why at age six they can't go to the bar for those Monday night games! And then fourteen years later, you watch the greatest game ever with the sons and those other relatives you used to watch those games in the past. You'll get that emotional space back.

Yeah he was good once. It was a long, long time ago though. He was garbage in Indy. That’s been my point.

And now he thinks Nick Foles is worth 2 firsts. C’mon.

We all agree that's a stupid comment - maybe he's trolling, maybe he's trying to be profound, maybe he's just senile. But c'mon dude, his credentials speak for themselves. He's a hall of famer.

Now let's get back to not giving a shit because we won the Super Bowl!

I would argue it's this (and has been since his time with the Colts).

Did you see his comments on Lamar Jackson yesterday?

The more you see him with the ball in his hands, the more you're gonna say 'I gotta find more ways to get this guy the ball in his hands!' That translates to another position.

Unless he wants to move Lamar Jackson to center, I don't think he'll touch the ball more than at QB.

I heard he called Jackson 'short.' He's 6'3"
