I'm more concerned about the loss of Reich. I bet Pedey is not the mastermind of the 0. I see pedey as more of a glue guy HC. That's not intended to be an insult.

He did not come in with a lot of experience as a coach. He was brought here to recreate that "family" environment that Lurie wants. He's certainly done that and more.

Cap off to Pedey and his coaching staff. The HC or even DC do not get those CBs to perform at the level they've been playing at. There are position coaches who are doing a great job too.

In contrast check out this quote from B Brooks.

The Eagles offensive line and “mad scientist” Doug Pederson (as right guard Brandon Brooks affectionately called him after the win) gave fits to the defense that was considered by many to be the best in the NFL

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe Pedey is more than a glue-guy HC.

Even if my impression is correct, he has still done his job well and deserves to be in the running for coach of the year. Unfortunately, if the Rams make the playoffs I don't think that award is coming to Philly. However, an award might be coming here for Howie and his front office buddies.

The question I have is where you could even get the idea that Reich was at the helm. You really have to be in outer space on that one since pederson calls the plays. I mean, that is really a bizarre conclusion from the get go.

How or where did you get this impression?

Your default position seems to be construed purelu on your prejudice of Pedey and little else. Unless you have something the rest of us don't know.

This is illogical, Joe. You're "loosing" your mind, brah!

Which I was firmly against when he announced he would be doing it during his rookie year as head coach.

Pederson's play calling is working fine now though.

Many were not happy about it and that is very understandable which is the exact reason why I wonder how any sane mind would think that Reich is the brains behind the offense. You would have to think that Pederson would be running/calling plays from Reich's playbook. Bizarre reasoning.

I actually wasn't proposing anything quite that radical, just that Pedey was relying more heavily than normal on the input and schemes from his OC.

But what makes you come to that conclusion? There is literally nothing out there that would remotely suggest that and plenty that indicates the opposite is true. What would lead you to that line of reasoning? That is what I am curious about.

How about there is no 'mastermind,' and everyone is just doing their job well? From the HC to the coordinators, to the players. The last time we had a 'mastermind' it didn't work out too well.

"Collaborative" is the word they are fond of using, I believe. I'm sure all the offensive coaches join in on creating a game plan, Mr. Pederson calls the plays and ... wait for it ... Wentz both has input and has considerable freedom in calling adjustments and using options.
