Supposedly PFF gave Seumalo a dishonorable mention, one of the worst OGs in the NFL.

Considering how well Wiz played last year, the only thing that makes sense is that they are giving Seumalo an opportunity to experience Kelce's protection calls. I bet that is not something easily learned in practice. They are preparing him to be an OC.

They all make him look really bad. Not only does that kind of play jeopardize Wentz's health, but how do guys like Wiz feel about riding the bench when they see that film? That next Gatorade shower may have some surprises in it.

Seumalo out at OG, Warmack in!?

I'm surprised it is not Wiz.

Warmack's takes questions about his 1st team reps. I hope he knows the play book as well as he knows what to say and not to say to the media.

Per Spads, the reason it's Warmack is with Kelce at C, if they put Wiz at OG, that would be too much of a weight disadvantage when going against "Snacks" Harrison and the rest of the NYG line.

I was conflicted between those two. If he plays on Sunday, Pedey better goddam well hope Wentz doesn't take any big hits courtesy of him.

So Mike, do you think they will rotate the L OG depending on the profile of the opposing DT--attacking quickness vs big run-stuffer?

I agree with you. I don't expect Warmack to play well; however, maybe his size will allow them to run the ball somewhat. We'll see if CW survives the DLine stunts and blitzes.

Yes Joe, I think they will. However, a very good game from Warmack may change that thinking.

I strongly agree that it is Warmack's job to loose. The guy was a former Top 10 draft pick at a position not often addressed in Round 1!

He may not be ready or maybe he has other issues we are not aware of, possibly not entirely unlike N. Agholor or even Shawn Andrews. There are so many young people today with neuro-psych challenges.

Oh happy day!

Warmack in, Seumalo out.

I'd like Pedey and Co. to improve their PR skills - if you're obviously going to bench someone, stop giving them a vote of confidence in public before benching them 2 days later. Just say 'we're evaluating blah blah.' But hey, the important thing is he's being benched.

It's almost as if the O-line coach comes to Pedey with game tape saying "hey man, you have to see this" Pedey pinches his nose and walks past.

Maybe knowing that Warmack is not really ready to perform at a high level, he did not want to burn anybridges, so he gave Warmack an opportunity with the 1s in practice before making a final decision,

Then don't say you have confidence in him, and he's played terrific. Just say personnel decisions are made after evaluating film, and go on to the next question. I think you risk burning more bridges in the locker room by sending mixed signals, not to mention causing media controversy. Just me.

Warmack doesn't have to perform at a high level - he simply has to stick his body in front of oncoming defenders, something we didn't have at that position last week. I know I'm not the only person who thought 'Winston Justice.'

The difference btw Seumalo and Winston Justice is that many people have projected Seumalo to be an NFL center, not guard. Also Seumalo still has time to develop. It is only his second year.

All of this makes sense if you consider the Eagles' situation and the limited number of players that you can keep on the 53.

They see Seumalo as their future C, but they want him to learn from their current, aging OC, especially learn to make the O Line calls in real-time.

They know Warmack was not ready to be a starter due to newness in the system or maybe something between his ears or whatever got him kicked out of Tenn. However they know they have an opportunity to rehabilitate a 1st round talent and have the right O Line coach to do it.

They decided to keep the versatile veteran inside OLineman ,Wiz, instead of the older Barbre.

So far their decisions have probably not cost them any games, but they obviously have to fix it soon. All of the injuries in the secondary may require the offense to put up more points and with poorer field position.

I disagree. The decision to play Seumalo certainly was a huge contributing factor in the loss at KC. I don't think you play a guy at Guard, arguably the easiest position on the line, yo learn the center position. Practice is the place to learn the calls.

I think it was a terrible idea to stick with him in the first place and I think he is grossly overestimated. He is not that good.

I think it's too early to say "he's not that good." He certainly hasn't played very well, but some players take a lot longer to adjust to the league than others do. Graham looked like a bust his first two years, injuries and system. Now he's playing pretty good, yes?

Bingo. Lets cut him some slack. He's an athletic guy and probably will ultimately move to center.

A couple of thoughts...

It's shocking just how bad Isaac was. Shocking. At this point, it looks like BUST-CITY and another terrible draft choice by Howie.

Guard is the easiest O line position to make the transition from College to Pro. If he's this bad in year 2, I think it foolish to think he's got much of a future, even at center. Also of note in those gifs is how useless Kelce was in most of them. The 2 of them looked terrible.

On to Warmack, who most of you know, I loved coming out of 'bama. That he's on his 2nd team, couldn't win the job, and is still questionably "ready" to play in our "scheme" is alarming.

Again, guard play is pretty simple stuff. From 1 scheme to another shouldn't be a major transition for a legitimate pro guard.

I'd expect Chance to be a significant upgrade in run blocking, but his bugaboo in the NFL has been his pass-pro. Hopefully Stoutland can get him closer to that 'bama blocker who earned a high first round grade coming out.

Letting Barbre go was a terrible move. He's been great in Denver.

Graham looked like a bust for a while, but he also wasn't utilized properly, and it's not really fair to compare the two positions. It's over simplified, but IMO a guard simply has to be a large man who gets in the way of the defender, no real 'skill' is needed. The way he looked on some of those plays made me think he had money on the game (not on us).

By many expectations after the preseason, most had Warmack as cut, his chance of making it not from performance or skill, but from his relationship with Stoutland.

I'm not expecting much. I'd be happy with a solid below average.

I think it's too early to say "he's not that good." He certainly hasn't played very well, but some players take a lot longer to adjust to the league than others do. Graham looked like a bust his first two years, injuries and system. Now he's playing pretty good, yes?

I disagree. I would say that you are right if it was him playing tackle or center but he was on skates at guard. That is not easy to do. He wasn't just bad or below par. He was flat out terrible.

Not to nitpick, but 'terrible' is too good for his performance. How about 'nonexistent?'
