Detroit -1.5 @ Minnesota
Over 37

San Diego -5.5 @ Ny Jets
Over 41.5

Tennessee +2.5 @ Cleveland
Over 38.5

Oakland +4.5 @ Kansas City
Over 51.5

Chicago -3 @ New Orleans
Over 34.5

Carolina -1 @ Tampa Bay
Over 36.5

Houston +12.5 @ Jacksonville
Over 36.5

Atlanta -2 @ Miami
Over 40

Seattle -3.5 @ Arizona
Over 43.5

Philadelphia +3 @ Washington
Over 40.5

Indianapolis -3 @ New England
Over 46

I like IND-3, despite their historic problems w/ NE. NE barely squeaked past BUF last night, and IND is no BUF.

I like the "over" on the PHI/WAS game . . . WAS and PHI gave up a combined 85 points last week. If both D's cut that in half it's STILL 42.5

I like SEA -3.5 @ AZ . . . sorta.

Will be interesting to see where some of these lines move, the ones I like probably move until I don't like them anymore. dry.gif

New England and the money line.

Kansas City is going to dessimate Oakland by two touchdowns.

I think I agree w/ you on KC, but I can't go w/ you on IND/NE. No way I take NE straight up.

Did you see the Sunday night game between NE and BUF? Is IND a better team than BUF? Did NE struggle to beat BUF?

Ok, let's go w/ my early gut-level reactions w/o a lot of analysis:

Detroit -1.5 @ Minnesota
Over 37

Isn't Culpepper out? Seems a no-brainer to take DET

San Diego -6 @ Ny Jets (was -5.5)
Over 41.5

Seems like SD is a good choice here, but . . . I'm inclined to shy away from this one.

Tennessee +2.5 @ Cleveland
Over 38.5

competition among losers. I'd take TEN if you forced me into it, but . . . anything could happen.

Oakland +4.5 @ Kansas City
Over 52 (was 51.5)

I'm w/ JC -- take KC.

Chicago -3 @ New Orleans
Over 34 (was 34.5)

Impossible to say. Stay away.

Cincinnati -3 @ Baltimore
Over 36

BAL had a much better showing against PIT than I thought -- hard to say. I'm staying away from this one too.

Carolina -1 @ Tampa Bay
Over 36 (was 36.5)

didn't SF just beat them? Take CAR and bet the HOUSE!

Houston +13 @ Jacksonville (was +12.5)
Over 36.5

I'm tired of the big lines, don't think I can stomach this one.

NYG -10 @ SF
Over 40

I'd take NYG, but again a big line and I'm just not sure.

Atlanta -2 @ Miami
Over 40

I will not bet on ATL -- Vick sucks and one of these days MIA is gonna wake up.

Seattle -4 @ Arizona (was -3.5)
Over 43.5

I'm inclined to go for SEA on this one.

Pittsburgh -5.5 @ Green Bay
Over 41

PIT easy.

Philadelphia +3 @ Washington
Over 40.5

PHI . . . hard to say, but . . . I think they bounce back BIG in this one

Indianapolis -3 @ New England
Over 47 (was 46)

IND all the way

this is a little dated but the old adage will ring true again...

And of course, there's the Monday night home dog, probably the best known trend in professional football. Still a winner after all these years (2-1 in 1996):

Home Dogs on Monday night 39-022-00 (63.9%)

Over 41 (was 41.5)

Tennessee +3 @ Cleveland (was 2.5)
Over 38.5

Oakland +4 @ Kansas City (was 4.5)
Over 52 (was 51.5)

Chicago -3 @ New Orleans
Over 34 (was 34.5)

Cincinnati -3 @ Baltimore
Over 37 (was 36)

Carolina -1 @ Tampa Bay
Over 37 (was 36.5, then 36)

Houston +13 @ Jacksonville (was +12.5)
Over 36.5

NYG -11 @ SF (was 10)
Over 42 (was 40)

Atlanta -2 @ Miami
Over 40

Seattle -4 @ Arizona (was -3.5)

Thoughts, anyone? I'll be making my picks tonight sometime.

I'm taking DET +2, KC -4, CHI -3, and CAR -1

Might take IND -3.5 after we see how those four go.

I saw nothing I liked other than the Skins and I ain't betting against the Birds.

I may take NE + pts if Dillion is cleared to play. We'll see about that tomorrow nite.

So I'm 1-1-2. Think I might hang this up for the year.

I wouldn't take NE and the points with or without Dillon -- but see above, what do I know?

Well, I passed on taking money out of my bookies kids college fund by staying off the Skins. I got NE + 4.5 in tonite's game.

Made the NE choice a strong bet.

We'll see.

Well . . . I don't have anything at stake, except picking IND -4.5 in our little pool, so . . . best of luck to you on that one.

I'll try not to post an ITYS if you don't . . .
