Foles is not playing well, and he also looks like he might be hurt.

And it sucks because the defense is actually playing well for once (bar a few expected plays)

Barkley can't play any worse than Foles has. WTF happened to him today?

Foles has no wins against teams with records better than .000

Well, it looks like he could. Even though it was garbage time, an INT to seal the game is a nail in the coffin of anyone who thought the Eagles had "the future" on the roster.

Foles looked absymal. Barkley looked a hair above Tebow.

This entire game was built to give the "Our Future QB Is In The Draft" camp 100% credence.

Barkley was thrown into flames. Very little, if any preparation, first game of his NFL career so you better believe he was a bit nervous and anxious at the same damn time. Realistically, did you guys expect him to get us back in the game? That's a bit much.

He's a rookie QB in his first game, have to give him at least a few starts to let the game start to slow down for him before drawing any conclusions. He showed some good and some bad.

One other thing that Howie mentioned on his show (on WIP Mondays with Merrill et. al):
Barkley had a shoulder separation that kept him out of USC's bowl game and limited what he was able to show at the Combine. He's still not 100% back to what he was before the injury in terms of arm strength, which was never his strong suit to begin with. The gist was that any experience Barkley gets this year will be valuable for his learning curve in the NFL, but he'll really need a full offseason of arm strengthening exercises (and being he's healthy enough to do them) before we know what we really have in him.

EDIT: I don't think Barkley is Detmer-level in terms of poor arm strength, but at the NFL stage you need every bit you can get. His durability is also somewhat of a worry, but everything else seems to be right for a QB with him. If USC didn't tank his final year there, and if he hadn't gotten hurt, have to think he would have gone a lot earlier than where we got him.

No he wouldn't have gone earlier because NFL scouts know he isn't a NFL starter.

I didn't notice anything about a lack of arm strength the other day.

His junior year, he was projected as a top 10 pick and was a pre-season Heisman front-runner. USC sucked as a whole his senior year, which did him no favors, combined with his injury were why we got him when we did. If he had declared a year earlier, he'd be a millionaire for the Dolphins.
