Just some observations:

1. Sh. Andrews is "unofficially" officially listed at RT. I figured he would end up there eventually, but it is intriguing.

2. I noticed LeSean McCoy and the rest of the rooks are listed in their respective positions, with the exception of Maclin. Is the FO gearing up to trade one of our stockpiled WR's? Are they trying to keep Maclin under the radar, give him motivation...? He is listed as our 2nd PR and 3rd KR.

3. The depth at DB is shockingly strong. Ickewhosyourmama is not even listed. Are we to believe he is our 7th CB? And I guess Macho Harris is primarily being looked at as a safety, which seems about right.

4. Only 1 punter, which disappoints me a bit. I was a big Sav supporter, but there should really be competition there. He was pretty inconsistent last year.

5. I am not sure I can find a weakness on this team. I mean, seriously, which is strongest - the Oline? the Dline? the DBs? WRs? This is across the board the best team I've seen on paper. But I guess that's why they play the games, right?

4. Agree - need punting competition. Sav is cool but maddeningly inconsistent.

5. Gotta be one of the lines. Definitely not WR.

I think they should just give us the Lombardi on general principle. Think of the money and injuries that could be saved!

the weakness is in the linebackers. We could use a little more, but no team is perfect.

No weaknesses? That's a big statement. Not saying I neccessarily disagree but every team has weaknesses.

I think ...
lack of size at WR. Linebackers (which could be a strength but right now a question mark). Depth on DL (rotation). Shawn and Stacy Andrews. Loss of Dawkins as defensive leader. Sheldon Brown situation. Andy Reid's home issues.

All are potential question marks heading into training camp. There is a possibility that very few are a problem but when I take a quick look at the Iggles in Mid May these are the things that initially stick out.

The Eagles are bringing in another punter. He's probably just a camp body, but here you go:

http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/eagles...add_punter.html

I think he's not on the depth chart just because the transaction hasn't officially happened yet.

Also, on Maclin, they did the same thing with DeSean last year. It actually probably says much more about Lorenzo Booker that they were so quick to bury him. Usually the rookies start at the bottom, even if they're expected to quickly jump ahead.

But since even my (passed on) grandmother can see Booker sucks, they evidently made an exception.

I would also definitely agree that on paper this is the most talented, deepest roster of the Andy Reid era.

The biggest area of vulnerability on our starting units is that we won't have a CB who can match up with Moss, Fitz, and Burress (if he comes back someday), in single-coverage.

The next greatest area of vulnerability is injuries. But every team has this issue. It is impossible to have a lot of starting caliber players as backups. And this isn't only a money issue. If the player is satisfied with collecting a nice paycheck and not getting to play, that player doesn't have the mentality needed to be a starter.

The next greatest area of vulnerability is probably the coaching staff. Will Seagrest be able to replace Jenkins? Will JJ's health hold up? Will Andy's family issues drain him too much?

The next area would be Rocca's cold weather kicking. Hopefully, experience and coaching will help him in this area. But he is also going to be 36 years old in November. And Akers will be 35 in December. Age could catch up with them this year as it did with Dawkins last year. Fortunately, Dawkins was useful in a different role than FS. But the same will not be true for Akers and Rocca. I'll be our scouting department makes these positions a priority in 2010. But time will tell if this is something they should have addressed this year.

Overall, I agree that this is probably the best team on paper of the Reid era. If it turns out well, it will be tricky to put it together in 2010 with all of the free agents. But some of them could be extended during the year if they are satisfied with their roles and we are satisfied with their play.

3 - Ikegwuonu probably isn't listed because he's just coming back from injury. He'll be #5 CB though unless we move Brown.

Vick's presence on the roster make me ashamed to be a Beagles fan. He is a bad QB and worse person.

defensive end is a glaring weakness to me. abiamiri needs to be a beast, or we're stuck with the same undersized rotation that always seems to wear down at some point in the season.
