I can honestly say, I cannot remember a coaching job by Reid and Co. worse than the one I saw Sunday night.

Now, to put the season in perspective, I had them at 10-6, reasonable not pie in the sky optimist. And I had them losing this game to go 3-1, instead of losing it to go 1-3. As bad as they've played in spurts, this coul dhave been one they got to get closer to where I think they should be by now. However, with all the guys out with injuries, I didn't think they had much of a chance Sunday, until they played the game.

If was 7-0 at the half, and we had the opening kick of half two. Our RB was averaging close to 7 yards a carry at that point, our QB was getting killed on every other pass play due mostly to a replacement LT who was getting schooled in the most embarrassing way I remember. This was worse that DE Mann from Wash schooling Antone Davis years back. While the magnitude of his tutoring was surprising, the fact it happened didn't surprise me in the least. After watching the 2nd team OL consistently suck the whole preseason, I stand by my previous opinion that they have no where near the depth they advertise here. The Youngs, Justice and Gilles of today are the Hicks, Darilek and Brzenski's of yesterday.

Terrible.

So in our idiot coach's infinite wisdom, we decide it was a good time to pass pass pass and not give the kid any help. Chips by the backs? Don't need it. Tight End on that side? Nope. Run right at him to keep him honest? Just couldn't, wouldn't be proper. Taking our massive All-Pro RG and trapping Osemoya's ass and running in the gap left behind? Nope, too physical. And then what about those pass plays he did call? Nothing like having all three WR's running fly patterns with a line that can't block and a QB who can't get away from the rush like he did pre injury. He left his QB for dead. If I was McNabb I would have audibled every fucking time to a run and if they didn't like it, find someone else for thier game of dog pile on the QB.

Reid/Morningweg has reached their potential. I'm not saying we'll have a losing record or anything, but they just ain't good enough to win the big one. When they are so obviously deer in the headlights to implement even the most obvious adjustments during a game, they just will not be able to get to the promised land.

Their resiliency may get us back on track, get into a wild card game if we're fortunate enough and maybe even win a game. Then enter deer, turn on headlights: game, set , match season over.

Sad.

I can't disagree Mikey, that was as bad as it gets. It seems that Andy's head was not even in the gameplan for the week. Are his personal issues interefering?? As a parallel, that game we witnessed last season against Jacksonville was pretty damn bad. We knew the weather was bad all week. We knew Jacksonville couldn't pass. We knew Garrard, the weaker passer of their 2 QB's was playing. We also knew Garrard was a good running QB. We couldn't stop their run or the QB run even knowing all of the above.

FWIW, Runyan was saying today on CSN that Andy is still the same, not distracted at all.

I agree Mike.

I feel Andy and Co. have run their course here in iggletown. I am not sure how another regime will perform, but this one is done. I do not feel we will see the sb until after he has left.

McNabb may have more good years left, but in my book it is 100% that Andy is done.

It's a complicated case, Maude. Lotta ins, lotta outs, lotta what have yous. Fortunately I've been adhering to a pretty strict, uh, winghead regimen to keep my mind, you know, limber.

I remember that game too. But, I also remember being more pissed at JJ than Andy. We didn't have the horses for good D last year. Coaching, while questionable at best...seemed to get a passs from the consensus due to the lack of horses.

This year, this team looked much better on paper. The offense is the same as that which lit up the league much of last year and in years prior. The D seems somewhat "fixed" if not thin in the secondary.

Andy retaking playcalling, stubornly or ignorantly refusing to run (while the run game is league leading in ypc), neglecting the return units and repeated failure to adjust to what's happening on the field have all been painfully obvious. If he's not distracted, he's certainly retracted (sounded better than regressed). His performance and countenence on the sideline are no longer acceptable. He might turn it around and give us a decent season. I seriously doubt any WC birth as some have speculated (hoped for). But it wouldn't surprise me to see him pull 9-7 out of his ample arse.

That said, the writting is on the wall. The shortcomings and failure to remedy or even address said shortcomings have led me to believe that what we've seen over the past near decade, is a case of the players covering for the coaches shortcomings. For a time, I believed it was t'other way around.

It'll be very telling to see how this team respoonds coming out of the bye. It could be some indication of how strong or how tenuous Reid's hold is on this team.

Personaly, I'm bored and frustrated with Andy Reid and Jim Johnson (albeit to a lesser degree). I'm ready for change for the simple sake of change.

Gotta agree with what's been said.

I'm not off the bandwagon, but that's because the bandwagon itself has been brought to halt by the fat guy blocking the way forward.

Vick's presence on the roster make me ashamed to be a Beagles fan. He is a bad QB and worse person.

Change for the sake of change is not usually a good idea. However, I do understand your frustration. It was just last season that almost the entire Philadelphia Eagles fan base was demanding JJ to be removed as D coordinator...and then AR was credited for handing the reigns over to Marty while he was the watching over JJ's defense and "righted the ship". A year later and JJ has this defense playing purty good despite missing 2 vital pieces of our secondary.
