For those who don't know what the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WABAC_machineis:

Signed by Eagles

Free agents from other teams

WR Alshon Jeffery (1 year, $14 million)
WR Torrey Smith (1 year, $5 million ... plus two team options)
OG Chance Warmack (1 year, $1.51 million)
QB Nick Foles (2 years, $11 million)

Re-signed by Eagles

OL Stefen Wisniewski (3 years, $9 million)
LB Najee Goode (1 year, $875K)
TE Trey Burton (Second-round RFA tender)
S Jaylen Watkins (Re-signed as an ERFA)
I don't think there was anybody who believed we'd be sitting here today still drunk with the joy of being CHAMPIONS! We kniew Jeffery was a great signing, but Smith, Warmack and Foles were pretty much meh. Foles was the best of the group but still not earth shattering, definitely not worthy of being the difference maker in our first Super Bowl victory. wink.gif Wiz and Burton were nice but, again, not heart pounding signings.

Even Jeffery had issues with health and character. So many signings and draft picks performed better than expected.

Maybe that was luck, maybe the guys in the front office are above average, maybe superior coaching is involved, maybe team leadership among the players is involved.

Whatever, it is amazing that they overcame those injuries to make it past the first round of the playoffs.
