That goes for me as well.

I've gotten 3 dogs and a wolf for good measure and I'm still a bit nervous.

You need to get a http://www.nflshop.com/Philadelphia_Eagles_Bobbleheads/Philadelphia_Eagles_Nelson_Agholor_OYO_Sports_2016_Player_Minifigure to hug instead.

Just remember to keep it half a yard behind the line for extra authenticity tongue.gif

At this point I'll try anything!

Realistically, I think at this point you guys are uncatchable. I think we end up splitting games, with you guys taking the division and us making a hard run for a wild card spot.

Of course, we'll have to see how effective we are without Elliot.

Caralho, you think the suspension is upheld?

At this point I think it will be. This is the court the NFL wanted the case tried in.

I have to agree with you on this. However, I'm not sure Elliot will be suspended. It's amazing how the Cowboys legal team has been able to drag this out so they can have him suspended on their terms and not the NFL's.

My guess is, if it looks like they're totally out of it, they'll drop their suspension case and just start the suspension. If they're still in play, they'll continue to fight it and he'll be suspended next season.

All of the so-called legal experts have kept insisting this time he'd start his suspension (before each appeal they've gone to court over). I have no faith justice will be served.

It's a tough game as the Eagles are coming of a bye and could potentially have lost some of the momentum they've built up. But, they'll be able to get healthy and two full weeks of scheming for the game...

So we'll see how this one goes.

The 'Boys are 3 point dogs at Atlanta on Sunday.

Atlanta doing there job would be a nice cushion.

It gives me a rooting interest during the Eagles bye week.

Delaying it may end up biting them if he's suspended during a playoff run. I have little faith in the league's moral compass so I'm not sure his transgressions are what we're led to believe they are but I'm pretty sure he's not a nice guy. But from what I've read, it's irrelevant because the CBA gave the league the authority to do what they're trying to do. I think Jones is outsmarting himself, he should have accepted the suspension early and moved on. That would give them a fresh and motivated player down the stretch run.

At this point, health is the big positive with the bye. We have to hope that Pederson learned from Andy about how to use the time off to the best advantage of the team. Reid's record of 16-2 in post bye games is astounding. Pederson shared in a bunch of those and hopefully will have the same result but there should be some mild concern after the team came out flat after a long week from Thursday to Monday.

One of those rare occasions where you hate to be right

I have zero love for the Cowboys as you know, but if I can put fandom aside for the moment the way they're treating Zeke is dead wrong. They're making him the example and it's unfortunate but at this point, he just needs to take the suspension and be done with it. If he keeps dragging this out it's going to get ugly.

Wrong in what way? Other than the NFL's typical inconsistent punishments, he is being treated in accordance with the CBA the players agreed to. The NFL does not have to go by whether there are criminal charges or convictions in order to punish players. I have no idea what, "evidence," the NFL uncovered in their (lengthy...LOL) 18 month investigation in this matter but they definitely know more about it than any of us around here.

Inconsistent is the point.

Inconsistent is the point.

The NFL has been criticised for not doing more in response to allegations of domestic violence.

I'm less concerned about Elliott's treatment being inconsistent with what was done previously than I am that this establishes the base line. As long as there is consistency going forward, it's fine.

I've been frustrated with the inconsistencies for sure. It seems like they're making an example out of him at this point.

Well, after that performance, I'm gonna say we're going to be lucky to pull off a wildcard.

We've got you guys twice, Washington and the Giants again, and the Chargers, Raiders, and Seahawks.

Posted by: Joegrane Nov 12 2017, 11:20 PM

Honestly I have no idea what you guys can do unless you tell me the prognosis on Pro Bowl L OT T Smith and LB S Lee.

There are plenty of winnable games for you if those two get back on the field.

Lee's is his hamstring again, and Smith has this ongoing thing with his back. There's no way to tell with either of them. But if you ask me, I would say losing either of them hurt worse than Elliot getting suspended.

Haven't you been with Lee so often over the years that you have a viable contingency plan for him being hurt again?

Obviously it's a bigger deal that Dallas lost Elliot, Smith, Lee and Bailey than it is that the Eagles lost Sproles, Peters, Hicks and Sturgis. What does that tell us, if anything?

Posted by: Joegrane Nov 13 2017, 11:35 AM

You could add #1 CB and Special Teams captain

We've tried, but we're simply a totally different defense when he's in as opposed to when he's out. Officially he's day-to-day, but the word is he'll miss the next two to three games. We may get Smith back by this coming Sunday, but will he be at full strength? I think Bailey was originally supposed to miss about a month, so going by that we won't have him either. We just have to adjust not having Zeke. Morris didn't do too bad, but we got behind quick and kinda gave up on the run...and since our whole game is built around slowing the game down with the run, that hurt.
I'm not saying we're a bad team without that particular combination of players, but I haven't seen any evidence we're a playoff caliber team without them either.
