Eagles Forum _ Philadelphia Eagles or Football Related Discussion _ Did the Raiders throw the game against the Redskins?

Armstrong & Getty are Bay Area sports talk guys. So the basic gist of it is the Raiders' offensive linemen spearheaded the team's decision to kneel during the anthem against the Redskins. Derek Carr stood during it. The Raiders have a beast offensive line, and Carr doesn't take many sacks - he gets whooped right off the bat several times, including back to back sacks.

Also, several drops were made by WR's that looked weird according to other commentators, and at least 3 times the ball was hiked to Carr's legs, clearly before he was ready. It was a horrible loss to a far inferior team. But hey, that's football right? Upsets happen, and they were on the road.

Well.....according to a 'reliable' insider source close to these guys, one of the Raiders guards said "He wants to stand alone, he can stand alone on the field."

The same source said that a local reporter got wind of the story, and asked a team official for comment. His response was "If you report on this, you will be blackballed, you will not get access to the Raiders, period. Your career covering the team will be over."

Also, Raiders linemen Marshall Newhouse and Donald Penn both made very strong public statements about the protest.

This story is getting legs fast. It'll be hard to prove anything without somebody incriminating themselves/teammates, and throwing a sporting event is a crime. It could be a huge scandal for the NFL.

Maybe the Commie-inspired idiots thought they could give the Skins some opportunities to send a message for them yet still walk away with a W.
